“In the Footsteps of a Soloist” – Interactive Oboe Recital

Inspired by their two albums, Romance (2021, Alpha Classics) and Routine (2026, Oktav Records), this recital offers a journey through the styles, eras, and timbres of an instrument whose expressive possibilities never cease to amaze.

Punctuated by interactions between the audience and the artists, the recital reveals the stories behind the works, interpretive choices, the musician’s craft, and the secrets of the bond that unites a chamber music duo. It offers a unique way to listen differently, by stepping into the intimacy of musical creation.

Named “Best New Instrumental Soloist” at the 2020 Victoires de la Musique Classique, Gabriel Pidoux has established himself as one of the most acclaimed oboists of his generation. At his side, Cuban pianist Jorge González Buajasán—a winner of numerous awards and Gabriel’s longtime partner—brings his sensitivity and elegance to a program that blends masterpieces of the repertoire with rare and rediscovered works.
