The Cadences Libres Roundtable

This event will bring together experts from the world of opera (e.g., an opera house director, a festival director, an economist) to discuss the theme of “the challenges facing opera today”, with the aim of understanding its economic drivers, dispelling common misconceptions (“opera is too expensive”, ‘artists are divas’, ‘modern productions are utter nonsense’, ‘opera will disappear along with its audience’, etc.), and to outline the future evolution of the opera arts. And as always at Cadences Libres, audience interaction will be at the heart of these discussions.
